I tried things that had worked for others, such as installing C++ redistributables from Microsoft, creating and using a brand new Windows administrator account, unplugging everything but keyboard and mouse, etc.įinally, I did a clean boot, which in Windows 10 is. I logged a ticket with iLok and they had me do a bunch of things, including installing a special version with logging ramped up, and then doing a Windows Repair install, which took a looong time and actually made matters worse, because now instead of getting the error popup, my PC would freeze during install! I rebooted and tried again, but now each time it was at Publishing product information I'd get a popup complaining Unknown Error occurred in CopyInf.cpp. I was upgrading from License Manager 4.0.3 to 4.1.2 and my computer froze.

Maybe it'll save somebody else some aggravation! Thought I'd post what finally worked for me to get iLok License Manager on Windows 10 installed after at least 10 or so wasted hours.
